French Class Fun

Often, students and instructors will use their language skills in a practical setting.  Here is Thu Schaeffer, our Intermediate and Advanced French instructor, with several of her French students, at la Madeleine, a French bistro in Columbia.

It's time to think about fall classes....

Our fall classes will begin mid-September....now is the time to register for the best selection!  We offer classes for beginner through advanced students, in 16 different languages.  Check out the interactive fall catalog here!

A Cultural Exchange

Our classes are not all about listening, speaking, reading, and writing--culture is an important aspect of learning a language, and we weave it into all of our classes.Thu Schaeffer's Intermediate French I class hosted visitors from Toulouse, in the south of France, for an evening of cultural exchange.  Students were able to practice their French skills, and the French visitors were able to practice their English.  It was a fun and entertaining evening.

Students learned the language, traditions, and culture, and the culminating event had students giving presentations on topics in Igbo!
